What is a workflow?

Workflows are the primary point of customization in ActiveMonitor. They are configured by the product development team to execute business processes in the event of breach detection or changes in configuration (for example, the creation of a new monitor).

The product development team in your organization can customize the way creations, modifications and exceptions are handled by the application. For any customization or change, the product development team must be consulted, so that they can approve all actions involved and specify the timeframe for the required changes.

ActiveMonitor uses an open-source workflow engine Activiti that can execute business processes described in BPMN 2.0.
