What is a workflow?

Workflows are the primary point of customization in ActiveMonitor. They are configured by the product development team to execute business processes in the event of breach detection or changes in configuration (for example, the creation of a new monitor).

Product development team in your organisation can customise the way creations, modifications and exceptions are handled by the application, who must be consulted, who has to approve actions, within what timeframe, etc.

ActiveMonitor is using an open-source workflow engine Activiti that can execute business processes described in BPMN 2.0.
