Creating a new limit starts with setting up the business details of your limit, such as name and reference to the external limit record system, and specifying a risk data source. These details are called the limit structure. A limit structure serves as a parent to multiple limit values.
After setting up the limit structure, you can add limits to it. Limits are the numerical thresholds for a given measure (eg. PnL) at a defined location (the scope) in the Cube, used to determine if the measure at that location is in breach, or close to breaching.
There are two ways you can create new limits: using the Limits Inventory UI, or uploading limits/limit structures in bulk in a CSV file. This section walks you through both methods.
