# Create a saved VaR launcher item.

> Saves VaR launch preferences for the current caller and organisation. Report, portfolio, and market-data
choices must be accessible. When supplied, the historical lookback display name must be one of the supported
six-month or one-through-ten-year choices; its identifier is server-managed. Saving does not launch a report or
create a report-run identifier.
